Hiding Out

I visited the Chicago beauties and geeks two weeks ago. I had a good time. It's one of those friendships where you can just pick up like normal, like you'd just seen each other yesterday (when in fact, I haven't seen most of these kids for a while). Joe took me out to get some pizza, and Karl came out sometimes too, when his girlfriend gave him permission. Joe and Karl, and their roommates Matt and Josh, were really good hosts. Also, I was really glad to see Tristin, Brittany, and Amanda. All three of them had to drive pretty far just to come out and see me.

Chicago is nice. The architecture matches the cold weather -- tall, vertical homes, line the streets, and many of the sky-scrapers have a sort of gothic design.

Currently, I'm hiding out here in Durham, North Carolina. Just waiting for Season 3 to come out, so that people will forget about me. Fortunately, no one has recognized me out here. Durham is beautiful. I've heard it said once that the United States used to be covered coast to coast with forests, so that a squirrel could cross the continent without ever touching the ground. Durham feels like the houses and roads were cut into the trees. The highways are lined on either side with towering trees. They're lovely.

Alright, that was a little cheesy. I'm feeling nauseous.
